S3 Tables

Amazon S3 Tables provides an Iceberg-backed table bucket managed by AWS.

Connect S3 Tables to Altertable when your Iceberg tables live in an S3 table bucket and should be queryable from the Altertable lakehouse.

Connect S3 Tables

  1. Open Catalogs in the Altertable app.
  2. Click New catalog.
  3. Select S3 Tables.
  4. Enter the table bucket ARN, region, access key ID, and secret access key.
  5. Save the catalog.
  6. Query the exposed tables with SQL.

Use least-privilege AWS credentials that grant Altertable only the table bucket access it needs.
