Notifications
Notifications bring important activity back to you: agent findings, workflow updates, and other signals for the current environment.
Delivery channels
Preferences are per environment. Pick how you want to be notified:
| Channel | What it does |
|---|---|
| In-app | Shows updates in Altertable (inbox and elsewhere in-app) |
| Sends to your account email | |
| Slack | Posts to a channel after you connect your Slack workspace |
Slack is optional. Connect Slack from Notification preferences, choose a channel, then configure the Slack agent and posting behavior where needed.
Reviewing notifications
Notifications are not read-only—your feedback shapes what improves next.
- Review findings in the app and mark them helpful or not helpful.
- Discovery feedback can include an optional note after thumbs up or down.
- That feedback can feed into memories so future agent work matches what your team values.
Environment-specific preferences
Each environment has its own notification setup—for example Slack enabled for production and a quieter profile in staging.
Typical flow:
- Open Notification preferences for the environment you care about.
- Turn channels on or off (in-app, email).
- For Slack: connect your workspace, pick the channel, then finish agent and posting settings from Organization settings or the Slack integration dialog as needed.
- Review the inbox and leave feedback so outputs improve over time.
