Limits

Altertable implements both soft and hard limits to ensure optimal performance and resource management across the platform.

Soft Limits

Altertable's pricing tiers include soft limits on the following resources:

• Storage: 50GB, 500GB, 5TB
• Agents: 10, 50, 100 agents
• Concurrent SQL Sessions: 3, 10, 50 sessions
• Data Time Travel: 7, 30, 90 days

These limits provide predictable pricing while maintaining flexibility for growing analytical workloads.

Hard Limits

Altertable enforces two hard technical limits that cannot be exceeded:

Memory Constraint

• Ensures system stability and prevents resource exhaustion
• Contact us if your workloads require additional memory capacity

Scale Constraint

• Full scan on large tables (>750GB) – Altertable is not yet optimized for large tables
• We're actively working on improvements for terabyte-scale operations

Exceeding Limits

Soft limits can be exceeded through usage-based billing. For hard limits, please contact our team to discuss custom solutions or roadmap timing.
