# Visualizations

**Visualizations** turn lakehouse data into saved analyses. [Insights](/docs/query-data/visualizations/insights.md) are the building blocks — semantic and SQL views over your lakehouse data. [Dashboards](/docs/query-data/visualizations/dashboards.md) combine insights into a single layout.

Start with insights when you need a persistent analysis. Move to dashboards when you want several metrics in one place, often with [tasks](/docs/automation/tasks.md) for scheduled follow-up.
